Sweet Stamps #52 Shaped Card

Today is our fifty-second challenge on the Sweet Stamps blog:

SHAPED

Not rectangle or square

Anyone can enter, but if you use a Sweet Stamps rubber stamp you get two entries into the challenge for a chance to win a $20 shopping spree!!

A Heart Tent Topper is my take on this challenge!!

My heart was die cut from the background heart of Cheery Lynn's Heartland America Lg Die.  I flipped the die over to hand cut the white heart layer. Using White Dye Ink, Heart with Bow was stamped onto Vellum and heat embossed with White Fine Detail .  I love Sweet Stamps 4-Split Perforating Tool for detail cutting and it was used on the vellum heart. The embossing plates used are Dotted Swiss,  and Hearts & Rose Leaves.  Core'dinations is the cardstock used.  Making roses is such a breeze with Cheery Lynn's Cuties and Roses.  For the large red rose I die cut Large Rose and Miniature Roses .   I used 4 large roses and 4 smalls to make this dimensional rose.  The smaller bi-color roses were die cut from Cuties 3.  The roses were die cut from Stardreams Paper.  One of the Tropcial Leaves created the base for the beautiful roses.  Pearls and ribbon are from my stash.

Cheery Lynn Designs Blog is having their 12th challenge and it is

DRY EMBOSSING

Just Magnolia their 140th challenge is to use a
WINDOW/DOOR

I embossed Cheery Lynn's Fanciful Flowers having inked the plate before running it through my machine.  My window was created with The Emperor's Swan and Lattice 2.  There is acetate for the window to see my outside scene from the 'house'.  Stardreams was used for the oval and lattice.  The greeting is unknown.

This is a close up of the window:
I was real pleased with the look of looking from a house to the outside where you find a beautiful Tilda from Magnolia.  Here is the inside of the card:
Sitting Summer Tilda is stamped on White Cryogen as well as the Magnolia background.  All coloring is done with Copics and Spicas.  I decided it needed a little more depth so I die cut another Cheery Lynn die, Grass Border. The smallest die of Inverted Scalloped Circle created the sun and I distressed the edges.  I stippled the sky and grass with dye inks to complete the look.  Thanks to a special friend for suggesting this. The little dragon fly was from my stash.  The finished size is 6" square card.

Copics Used:
Skin E000, E00, E02, R20
Hair YR21, YR24

A Snowy Valentine

At Magnolia-licous Highlites, you are asked to create a Valentine using a Magnolia Stamp. I chose Snowy Tilda because Valentine's Day in Michigan will most likely have snow!!!

Today is a cloudy day so I chose my feel good color - PINK!!!!  The snowflake background was embossed with Cheery Lynn's Snowflake Flurries on Core'dinations cardstock.  I die cut a French Flair Doily Stacker for Tilda and her Snowman to stand on.  Tilda is colored with Copics and there is Snow Fluff on her and the Snowman's fur trim.  For the snow I used Marvy's Snow Marker.  Snowflake 6  and hearts from my stash finish off the card.  The size of the card is 5" x 7".

This challenge fits the weather in Michigan. To my dismay we have snow!!! There have been alot of snowflakes falling! My card features Cheery Lynn dies, cardstock and Stardreams only!! I began by embossing the beautiful Snowflakes Flurries onto Coredination cardstock and sanding the snowflakes. The Japanese Lace and Flourish Frame was cut from Stardreams and in the opening another snowflake embossed panel.  Snowflakes 6  is the focal point of the card mounted on cardstock and Stardreams.  A rose die cut from Cuties 3  creates the center of the snowflake.  The card was finished with gold pearls from my stash.  The finished size is a 5"x7" card.

WINTER(whatever it means to you)

Anyone can enter, but if you use a Sweet Stamps rubber stamp you get two entries into the challenge for a chance to win a $20 shopping spree!!

Winter, whatever it means to you!! Well, winter in Michigan is cold and I am not a fan of it!! I do think snow is pretty to look at and snowmen are cute. So I focused on snowmen today.  Using a Crafts Too folder, it was in the Sweet Stamps store, and Coredinations Vintage Collection paper, embosssed the cute trio.  I sanded the finished image to show the beauty of the Coredinations paper.   Sparkly Fluff gives the illusion of snow and Stickles glitter the stars.  Snow Thanks is the greeting stamped with a pigment ink.  The finished size is 4.25" x 5.50".  Simple and cute!!!
