Medallion Tree

A Sweet Stamps Card created for Challenge #145 Holidays .  Something old made "New".  I love Sweet Stamps Winter Tree.  It is stamped and embossed.  For a realistic snow affect, I used a Snow Marker and Sparkly Ultrafine Glitter.  The tree image was die cut using Cheery Lynn's Circles.  For a dramatic look I die cut Sweetcuts Daisy Center Medallion.  I added Candis Dotty Very Merry Christmas to the points to frame the Medallion.  The elegant Merry Christmas is the greeting under ribbon from my stash.  The finished size of the card is 4.25" x 5.50.

It was a Monday, Monday for me as I created this card!! I was in the mood for Roses.  I decided that they would be yellow reminding me of the SUNSHINE!!!  So I began to choose my THREE OF ANY ITEM!!  Continuing along my yellow theme I stamped the Petite Rose with Tuxedo Black Momento Dye Ink .  I picked my Copics to color the roses.  I stamped the sentiment Know That I Care .  The Roses and Sentiment were die cut with Cheery Lynn's Little Stackers Ovals  and Little Stacker Scallop Ovals .  I used one of Cherry Lynn's New Release Borders, Tiny Bubbles Border .  These borders are very cool!! Then I needed a couple of corners, Lace Corner D .  Used a Pearl Pen to accent some pearls.

I was pleased as punch with my card!! I showed my card to my Darling Husband. Now remember, I said Monday, Monday in the beginning!!  He looks at the card and said, "That is very pretty, but what is the saying?" I read it to him and said, "Oh NO!!"  Roses are RED and mine were YELLOW!!  Well, I decided, I was not doing the whole card over. I stamped two more rose coloring them RED!!!
I cut each one out gluing one over the stamped yellow rose and removing the popped up yellow one!! So that is my story and I am sticking to it!! Thus we have a yellow card with RED roses!!!
