Aren't these wonderful colors for Valentine cards!! I began my creation by embossing Hearts and Rose Leaves on the red layer.  The main focus of the card is Cheery Lynn's Heartland America and stamping with a dye ink these Sweet Stamps, Be Mine,  Happy Valentine's Day, and I Love You in the openings.  Using Stardreams and Cuties 3 the roses were made and placed on top of the insides of the Heartland Die. The Fanciful Flourish was the final die used.  Pearls from my stash were colored with Copics.  The finished size is a 6" square card.

Winter, whatever it means to you!! Well, winter in Michigan is cold and I am not a fan of it!! I do think snow is pretty to look at and snowmen are cute. So I focused on snowmen today.  Using a Crafts Too folder, it was in the Sweet Stamps store, and Coredinations Vintage Collection paper, embosssed the cute trio.  I sanded the finished image to show the beauty of the Coredinations paper.   Sparkly Fluff gives the illusion of snow and Stickles glitter the stars.  Snow Thanks is the greeting stamped with a pigment ink.  The finished size is 4.25" x 5.50".  Simple and cute!!!

Cheery Lynn Challenge 7 Tis the Season

This week the Challenge at Cheery Lynn Designs is

TIS THE SEASON!!

This week I spent time with my granddaughter, Kaitlyn.  She was stamping a Christmas card for her family.  I was playing with embossing powder with the stamp she was coloring.  Kaitlyn came up with a challenge for Grandma. I had to create a card using the same stamp she was and the same layers. Kaitlyn had a rule though, Grandma couldn't create a fancy card like she usually does.  So this is what I created that very special day:
This was the embossed image Kaitlyn chose for me to use.  The image is from Great Impressions. It is stamped with a Versa Mark and embossed with Diamonds and Pearls Powder on black cardstock.  Cheery Lynn's Card Maker Rectangle Stacker and Card Maker Rectangle Scallop Stacker.  The large snowflake is Snowflake 6 and several snowflakes from Snowflakes. The snowflakes were cut from Stardreams paper and the DP is from Basic Grey.  Gems are from stash.  The finished size of the card is 4.25"x5.50".

Kaitlyn and I made a wonderful Christmas memory that we will treasure forever. I wish everyone a Merry Christmas.
