Sweet Stamps Sponsors ABC Christmas Challenge

Sweet Stamps is sponsoring the ABC Christmas Challenge. Christmas creeps up on us every year! At the ABC Christmas Challenge Blog all themes are Christmas if you join every challenge from A to Z you will have created at least 25 cards in time for Christmas 2012!! Sounds like fun!! Sweet Stamps is joining in on the fun and won't you!!!

There theme is D for Distress It!!

I am a Guest Designer there this week and here is my creation!!

This card began with background of Core'dinations Cardstock using Cheery Lynn's Poinsettia XL Embossing Plate.  Core'dinations is wonderful for sanding and I added more distressing with a Tim Holtz Distress Ink and used that throughout the card.  Sweet Stamps Ponsettia Large was a perfect choice. It is stamped with Tuxedo Black Momento Ink and  colored with Copics. Of course, Poinsettia needed a basket to Copics.  All images are pop dotted with Foam Dots.  The corner poinsettia are Ponsettia Corner Large.  Sweet Stamps sentiment Merry Christmas Staggered was stamped with Distress Clear Embossing Ink and embossed with Queen's Gold Powder.  If you like gold embossing powder, you need to try Queen's Gold!! It is a beauty!!  For a final touch two Candis from the Dotty Very Merry Gold Collection.  The card is a 4.50" x 6.25" in size.

I hope you have enjoyed a touch of Christmas. Please join the ABC Christmas Challenge and begin your holiday cards today!!

Beautiful!! Love the rich colors and the use of the poinsettia corners. Beautiful coloring and design layout. It really makes me think of Christmas (though I'm hoping for Spring)
